Blot painting is a technique most often associated with monochrome ink drawing. It is an excellent mechanism for a loosening up technique or a liberating effect.
However, the result can never be predicted but can evolve trees, branches flowers or pebbles. Wetting the paper will give a diffused, soft-edged blot which can travel either if you blow on it or tilt the board.
